About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation FA462126Q0041, which concerns the replacement of an auto hobby shop vehicle lift for the U.S. Air Force under the Federal Supply Schedule (FSS).

The procurement requires delivery of a replacement scissor vehicle lift and 12,000-pound rolling jacks within 60 calendar days after receipt of order, with contract award contingent on fund availability prior to the September 30, 2026 fiscal year close date. Quotes must be submitted by email to james.gomez.9@us.af.mil and sugeys.allen.1@us.af.mil no later than August 28, 2026 at 10:00 AM CST, with submissions including a complete copy of the solicitation with all representations filled in. The lift must be compatible with single-phase power only and fit within a 12.5-foot clearance from concrete floor to the lowest fixture, with a 9-foot garage door entry. The auto lift must qualify as a domestic end product or an eligible product from a Free Trade Agreement country under FAR Clause 52.225-3; Chinese-manufactured lifts imported by American companies do not meet this requirement.

Q4. Is there 3-phase power available in the area?

Answer: No, 1 Phase only.

Q5. Please verify that you are looking for a Four-post lift and not a replacement scissor lift for this opportunity.

Answer: The solicitation has been amended to clarify the requirement. A replacement of the existing scissor vehicle lift is being requested.

Q6. Do you require that it is American made? Or is a Chinese lift imported by an American Company sufficient?

Answer: The auto lift must qualify as a domestic end product or an eligible product from a Free Trade Agreement country under FAR Clause 52.225-3. A Chinese-manufactured lift imported by an American company is considered a foreign end product and does not meet these requirements.
