About this file
This is an equipment inventory list attachment for the St. Albans facility fire alarm system maintenance contract. The document specifies all fire alarm and life safety equipment at the location that requires contractor support, organized by equipment type with columns for shop classification, manufacturer, model, serial number, service call inclusion, and preventive maintenance requirements.
The fire alarm system comprises an extensive array of components managed by the Electrical shop, including Network Edward and Notifier AFP 400 control panels, along with 299 addressable smoke detectors, 33 duct detectors, 55 manual stations, 138 door holding devices, 15 tamper switches, 575 speaker/strobes, 150 strobe lights, and 50 horn strobes. The system also includes intelligent network annunciators, LCD terminals and annunciators, audio voice links, a PRN-4 printer, five Notifier SFP 400 power packs, and a Simplex hardwire 4001 control panel. All listed components include service calls, with preventive maintenance performed on an as-needed basis. The contractor is responsible for repairs and programming updates to maintain system operability in compliance with local, state, and national codes. Maintenance and inspection activities include inspection of all smoke detectors including duct detectors, electromechanical door holding devices, heat detectors, manual pull stations, and audible/visual devices; testing all control panel functions and outlying devices such as annunciators, printers, CRT displays, audio/visual links, and battery backup systems; and conducting elevator recall supervisory checks to test building elevator recalls and audio/visual devices.
