Q&A Part 5

A. Section 2. 3 Interfaces:

The contractor’s solution shall:

Capture audio from video teleconferencing units that meet H.323 standard protocol. Currently the agency uses the following Polycom Units: HDX9000, HDX9001, HDX9002, HDX9006, HDX4000 and RealPresence Group 500.

Questions

As stated in section 2.3 of the SOW, every solution shall capture audio from any of the video teleconference units specified.

A breakdown of each type of video unit cannot be given because digital recording units may be moved from one hearing room to another without contractor support.

1. How many Polycom HDX9000, HDX9001, HDX9002, HDX9006 units are in existence & being used today for Video Conferencing?

2. How many Polycom HDX4000 units are in existence & being used today for Video Conferencing?

3. How many Polycom RealPresence Group 500 units are in existence & being used today for Video Conferencing?

B. Participants & SSA Employees in a SSA hearing process within a permanent location room – Under this new program.

Questions:

1. What are the maximum in-person non SSA employee participants (physically in the room) per SSA hearing in a permanent room?

There is no maximum

2. What are the maximum video teleconferencing participants involved per hearing in a permanent room?

There is no maximum. Typically only one teleconference is held at a time, but can contain many participants with multiple far end connections.

3. What are the maximum telephone participants involved per hearing in a permanent room?

There can be 3 telephone participants at the same time as stated in section 2.3 of the SOW.

4. How many SSA officials are participants (physically in the room) per hearing in a permanent room? How many must be recorded?

Everyone in the room must be recorded when speaking. Section 1.2 of the SOW states those that may participate in a hearing.
