4 April 2019 Questions:

Q: Are there existing sources of supply DLA is using for these?

A: There are approved sources of supply; however, all items included under the PEL can be manufactured with the Technical Data Packages.

Q: Are any of these items no longer manufactured?

A: The Government is not aware of any obsolescence for any items on the PEL.

Q: Will the resulting IDIQ (if the project moves forward) be limited to these parts or will additional items not on the PEL be procured as long as they are within scope?

A: The resulting IDIQs will not be limited to the PEL items. The contracts will support all interconnection equipment that is considered within scope.

Previous Q&A:

Q: How can the TDPs be accessed?

A: As stated in the Sources Sought, the Government plans to release the TDPs on or about 25 February 2019. An amendment will be made to the announcement with more information regarding the Joint Certification Program. Contractors must have a valid certification in order to receive the TDPs.

Q: When do you think you’ll have the quantities for each item?

A: The best estimated quantities for each item will be released on the final solicitation’s PEL. As stated in the draft solicitation outline, the final solicitation is projected to be released in May

Q: I am looking to confirm if there is an incumbent, or if this is a new requirement? If there is an incumbent, can you please provide the contractor name and contract number?

A: There is no incumbent, as this effort is a new requirement.

Q: Can the Government share any more details on the AbilityOne program requirements?

A: As stated in the draft solicitation outline, AbilityOne may apply to the evaluation criteria. The applicable criteria for proposal submission will be released under the final solicitation.
