1.3 STATEMENT OF BID ITEM(S)

A. The scope of work for Project No. 590-21-120 Correct FCA HVAC

Deficiencies at the VA Hampton Healthcare System in Hampton, VA is to provide emergency power to mechanical equipment including controls to the following areas: Central Plant (Building 110D), Radiology (Building

110A 2nd Floor), ICU, and 3E and 4E (Building 110) as allowed by the allocated budget:

01 00 00 - 2

1. Building 110: Existing panelboard NH3A located in Building 110 3rd floor supplies power to pumps 3, 4 and AC-1 along with additional endpoint devices. Based on survey and documentation provided by the

Hampton VAMC the panelboard is currently fed from existing panelboard MDP1. It is recommended that the NH3A be relocated to the existing emergency distribution panel ED.

2. Building 110A: Existing AHU 5 is located on normal power and is to be relocated to the essential equipment branch. It is recommended that the 3-pole breaker supplying the associated AHU is relocated to an existing essential equipment branch panelboard. Additional survey is required to determine an adequate new power source for this equipment and verify any associated controls.

3. Building 110D: Provide new emergency distribution panelboard and connect existing panelboard OEDP1 to the new emergency distribution panelboard, ATS’s for all associated CCU’s (1, 2 and 3) and panelboard 1HN5.
