About this file

This document is a comprehensive set of construction contract documents for a Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) repair project at the St. Louis VA Healthcare System's John J. Cochran Veterans Hospital. The project involves repairing Air Handler AC-1 and associated mechanical systems on the second floor, which includes replacing a steam humidifier, fixing duct leakage, and replacing approximately 68 variable air volume (VAV) boxes. The scope of work is detailed in architectural and engineering specifications spanning multiple divisions, including mechanical, electrical, and structural components.

The contract opportunity (Solicitation Number 36C25525R0049) is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration and includes multiple bid options. The base bid (CLIN 0001) covers all work, while two deduct alternates (CLIN 0002 and CLIN 0003) allow for potential reduction in scope by excluding specific VAV boxes and, in the second alternate, also excluding a steam humidifier. The project documents include detailed technical specifications, drawings, pre-construction requirements, safety protocols, commissioning procedures, and environmental control measures. The project is located in St. Louis, Missouri, and the contract documents were prepared by Romanyk Consulting Corp with a March 8, 2024 date.
