About this file

This document outlines the Specific Terms and Conditions for a fire extinguisher inspection and maintenance contract for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). The contract covers approximately 50 fire extinguishers located at various ALEA offices, marine patrol workshops, and training facilities across Alabama. The selected supplier must perform annual inspections, equipment/part replacements, and repairs in accordance with NFPA 10 standards and all applicable state and local codes. The contract term is 12 months with options to extend for up to four additional 12-month periods. The contract will be awarded by location to the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications, and the supplier must bid on all line items in each location or the bid will be rejected.

The pricing structure includes an annual inspection fee, a cost-plus percentage markup for new equipment/part replacements, and a technician labor rate for authorized repairs. Suppliers must provide proof of general liability insurance and all required certifications and licenses. Price escalations may be considered if material or labor costs significantly increase, but any increases must be approved by both the state and the supplier. This contract opportunity does not appear to have any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and the procurement budget range is not provided.
