About this file
This document outlines the Specific Terms and Conditions for the ALEA Fire Extinguisher Inspection service contract in the state of Alabama. The contract will be awarded by location to the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications, with suppliers required to bid on all four lines in each location or the bid will be rejected. The contract period is for 12 months with options to extend for up to four additional 12-month periods. Key requirements include that all equipment must be new and unused, suppliers must provide proof of general liability insurance, and suppliers must possess all required certifications and licenses. The contract allows for price escalation based on increases in material or labor costs, not to exceed increases in the Consumer Price Index, with approval required from both the state and the supplier.
The pricing for the "New Equip/Part Replacement" lines must be entered as a percent markup, and suppliers may enter "NA" for the "Supplier Part Number" section. The state reserves the right to procure goods or services from other sources if a supplier defaults on the contract, and the defaulting supplier may be subject to suspension or debarment. The state also requires any additional information requested from a vendor to be furnished within five calendar days.
