About this file
This document outlines the scope of work and specifications for an annual fire extinguisher inspection, equipment/part replacement, and repair services contract for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). The contract covers approximately 50 fire extinguishers of varying sizes and types located at ALEA offices, marine patrol workshops, and training facilities across the state. The selected supplier must perform all services in compliance with NFPA 10 standards and applicable state and local codes. Key requirements include that all equipment must be new and unused, the supplier must possess all required certifications and licenses, and the supplier must provide proof of general liability insurance. The contract term is 12 months with options to extend for up to four additional 12-month periods.
Pricing is based on an annual inspection fee, materials cost plus a percentage markup for new equipment/part replacements, and a technician labor rate for authorized repairs. The contract will be awarded by location to the lowest responsible bidder meeting all specifications. The documents do not indicate any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, nor do they provide any information on incumbent vendors, current contractors, existing infrastructure, or technology integration requirements. The total contract value is not specified, but the procurement budget range is also not provided.
