About this file

This is a standard contractual clause document from Argonne National Laboratory establishing language control provisions for agreements.

The document specifies that in cases where discrepancies arise between the English version of an agreement and any translation into another language, the English language meaning shall serve as the controlling interpretation. This clause, designated PD-126 and dated February 2000, establishes a unilateral standard for contract interpretation and dispute resolution by prioritizing the original English text over any translated versions. The provision applies broadly to all terms contained within the agreement and ensures consistent interpretation across multilingual contract documents.
