About this file

This specification document outlines requirements for a construction project to upgrade infrastructure at the Sheridan VA Medical Center in Sheridan, Wyoming to support a new Electronic Health Record Modernization system. Key work includes upgrading fiber optic cabling throughout multiple buildings and to an outlying clinic; installing new IT, electrical, and HVAC systems; conducting security assessments; and abating hazardous materials. The project involves renovations and upgrades across various campus buildings and sites. The contractor must meet safety, security, and operational protocols to minimize impacts on the medical center's ongoing operations. The specification provides detailed requirements for phasing of work, protecting existing structures and utilities, using roads and facilities, handling waste, obtaining permits, and other protocol. It also outlines requirements for as-built drawings, instructions, testing, and more.
