OFFICE FURNITURE

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. GENERAL: This supply requirement is for new office furniture with removal of existing furniture, design & layout, assembly, and installation for DLA Energy AMW located at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, Seal Beach, California.

2. DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, other items, and non-personal services necessary to procure, remove existing furniture, design & layout, assembly, and install office furniture.

3. BACKGROUND: The DLA Energy AMW provides comprehensive energy support and solutions to the various departments and agencies of the U.S. government, as well as international partners. DLA Energy AMW is one of several DLA Energy regional offices responsible for the receipt, storage, and distribution of various energy products to DLA Energy customers.

DLA Energy AMW purchased 17 new office partitions in 2013 to replace the older, dilapidated partitions.

The organization reused existing office furniture to save time and money as part of its relocation from San Pedro, Texas (TX) to Houston, TX in 2020. Additionally, the organization purchased new sit‐stand desks to provide employees with an ergonomic work environment and reused the existing office furniture to save money on other mission priorities.

DLA Energy AMW employees returned to work after two years of teleworking following a change in Office of Personnel Management’s Corona Virus Disease 19 policy in 2022. The organization’s office furniture fell into disrepair which created safety issues including overhead shelving, cabinetry & falling partitions and baseboard panels missing receptacle plates exposing electrical runs and cables.

Additionally, DLA Energy AMW office personnel grew in response to the Department of Defense’s exponential increase in refueling requirements and forward presence in more than 40 countries in the organization’s Areas of Operation. As such, the current office space configuration and furniture were inadequate to perform daily operations. DLA Energy AMW office furniture project accommodates office growth while addressing safety issues simultaneously.
