Tinker
Q: Is the LOX and LN2 both considered new requirements that must be contracted separately due to different sizes of tanks being involved?
A: I was looking at the consolidated SOO that was used to comprise solicitation 23-R-03016 for the Southeast Region locations including Tinker AFB. Everything tracks from the consolidated SOO for the Tinker LOX and LN2 requirements that you are referencing in your e-mail. You are correct that Matheson cont. 21-D-1534 expiring 6/30/2026 is for ABO (not LOX) and LN2. The 2 – 900 GL govt. owned LOX tanks at Tinker Bldg 3001 and the 1 – 900 GL govt. owned LN2 tank at Tinker Bldg 9001 are new requirements that would be solicited separately. I doubt that Contracting would add these by mod to the current Matheson contract. Only LOX is shown for Bldg 3001. The LN2 is at Bldg 9001.
Robins
Q: Can you please advise what the correct totals are and if LB is the correct UOM to be used? Today, this LN2 supply for Robins AFB is contracted using UOM = TON
A: The correct totals for the new Robins AFB LN2 requirement are 933,887 GL per year starting 4/1/2024. The correct UOM is U.S. gallons (UG6 code)
Q: How many telemetry units are required, 11 or 12? In other words, the SOO includes a "6,000 GL tank at Bldg 640 to be installed in Jul 2023" Is this tank installed and should we provide a monthly telemetry fee for 11 or 12 units?
A: The installation of the 6,000 GL tank at Bldg 640 has been delayed to Feb 2024. All of the LN2 tanks at Robins including the one to be installed at Bldg 640 will need a Contractor provided telemetry system.
Anniston
Q: Please confirm the annual quantity for the oxygen at Buildings 413 & 105. We show a historic combined volume (both oxygen tanks) delivered of approximately 20 Tons per year. The RFQ has an annual volume of 524 Tons. SOO states "Building 5 and a 1,000 gallon tank" Should this state Building 105 and a 900 gallon tank?
Building 413 states a 1,000 gallon tank. Should this state a 1,500 gallon tank?
A: The annual QTY for the LOX is 524 TNs. This would include Bldgs 400C, 451, 413, and 5. There is a 9,000 GL vendor tank at Bldg 400C, a 1,500 GL vendor tank at Bldg 451, a 1,000 GL govt. tank at Bldg 413, and a 1,000 GL govt. tank at Bldg 5.
Q: Please confirm the annual quantity for the nitrogen at Buildings 105 & 145. We show a historic annual volume of approximately 116 Tons per year. The RFQ has an annual volume of 432 Tons. SOO states "Building 5 (1) 3,000 gallon tank and Building 145 (1) 9,000 gallon tank". Existing tanks at Bldg 105 (1) Airgas Owned 3,125 gallon tank and Bldg 145 (1) Airgas Owned 6,000 gallon tank
A: The annual QTY for the LN2 is 432 TNs. This would include Bldgs 5, 145, and 108. There is a 3,000 GL vendor tank at Bldg 5, a 9,000 GL vendor tank at Bldg 145, and a 3,000 GL govt. tank at Bldg 108.
All other received question will be answered as soon as the research is completed.
