Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Questions and Answers Set #1

November 9, 2012

Questions and Answers:

Q1: While I have not yet had the opportunity to look at the materials in the Technical Library for the above referenced solicitation, I would like to respectfully request immediate access to electronic copies of native format system maps. We are specifically looking for the GIS maps of the utility systems (for us, we need electric) referenced in JA1.2.3. We need the files in the native format, not PDF or other picture or minimalized formats. Providing the maps in native electronic format makes the effort to define ISDCs and to develop O&M costs much easier. We would, of course, sign non-disclosure agreement as needed A1: The Government will be providing Technical Library information per RFP Section L.2.1.7, Technical Library and GIS maps. System maps will be released in the format deemed necessary by the Government.

Q2: I want to respectfully confirm with you that the site visit for JBSA for the electric system is Nov 29, 30 and Dec 3. Is it true that you have planned it so the bidders that are interested in this solicitation will need to come back on Monday the 3rd?

A2: The complete site visit schedule is posted on www.fedbizopps.com. Due to the various locations on JBSA, some site visits will extend into the next week.

Q3: Are there any restrictions as to the number of attendees from each company on any one day.

A3: The Government has not put a limit on the number of participants each company may register.

However, we reserve the right to limit the number of attendees for each company at a later date if needed.

Q4: What information do you need specifically from each attendee: name/ email, DL, DOB?

A4: When a company submits its request to attend the Preproposal Conference and Site Visits per Section L.2.1.6, the Contracting Officer will provide further details on the process to complete registration and information required by the base Security Forces.

Q5: Do you require us to complete a Base Access Form, if so may we receive a copy to complete A5: Please see Government Answer to Question 4 above.

Q6: Given the multiple installations within JBSA and the multiple days for the site visits, it would be helpful if you could indicate the proposed itinerary for the Water/Wastewater site visits (installation name to date) as we may have different people attending depending on the installation.

A6: Please see the Government posting on www.fedbizopps.com for this information.

File details come from the government source that posted it. Updated .
