SP800024R0003

2024 MAY 22

a. The purpose of this Amendment 0002 to Solicitation SP8000-24-R-0003 is to provide responses to questions from potential offerors generated as a result of the posting of this solicitation on SAM.gov.

b. The below information lists the questions (Q) submitted by contractors, followed by answers

(A) to those questions that have been provided by the Government.

1Q. It has come to our attention that finding steel drums with: “Shall have a bolt and ring closure and an open-head lid with one 2” National Pipe Thread (NPT) and one 0.75” NPT bung hole with installed bung plugs.” Is proving to be problematic. It appears that drum manufactures make the bungs with BSP threads not NPT….the hole diameters are the same and, it was explained to us that NPT drum threads have been phased out over the years. Can BSP threads be used?

1A. The Government requires bung holes with NPT threads to support our operational needs. No change to the bung hole requirements in the SOW is envisioned.

c. All other terms and conditions of Solicitation SP8000-24-R-0003, other than those explicitly stated in this Amendment 0002, remain unchanged.
