Questions and Answers SP7000-22-Q-1039
1.What exactly does the end result look like when project is completed? OR What are you trying to accomplish by purchasing and/or upgrading this machine?
Response: The Government is replacing a 12-year-old Primera CX1200 Digital Color Press and FX1200 Digital Finishing system. DLA is seeking equipment to produce custom labels on rolls of various sizes and shapes, up to 7.87”w x 15”L.
2. Is this small format or Large format? I noticed it requested 3” core capability (large format) but then requested a print width of 8.5” (small format).
Response: The label stock comes standard in 3 inch cores but it is a small format category.
3. Is this for indoors or outdoors? Is weather going to come into play when the project is completed?
Response: The equipment will be indoors.
4. Are you wanting a machine that can print, cut (vertical and horizontal), and laminate all in one?
Response: DLA wants a separate printer and a separate finishing system that can cut various custom shapes and sizes with lamination as an option.
5. Are you needing cutting capabilities that involve digital cutting (not just line cutting vertical and horizontal)?
Response: Yes, DLA needs a machine that can digitally plotter cut.
