About this file

This is a Davis-Bacon Act Wage Determination (WD#VA20250017, Modification 1) for building construction projects in Chesterfield County, Virginia, including the independent city of Colonial Heights. The wage determination was last revised on January 10, 2025 and provides prevailing wage rates that contractors must pay workers on covered federal construction projects.

The document lists specific hourly wage rates for various construction trades, including $40.77 for asbestos workers/mechanical insulators, $42.62 for boilermakers, $36.21 for electricians, $49.19 for elevator mechanics, $34.17 for crane operators (90+ tons), $31.00 for structural ironworkers, and $33.25 for both plumbers and pipefitters. The determination includes provisions for paid holidays, vacation benefits, and notes that workers in some classifications may be entitled to minimum wages under Executive Order 14026 ($17.75) or 13658 ($13.30). The document also outlines the wage determination appeals process and provides detailed explanations of union rate identifiers, survey rate identifiers, and state-adopted rate classifications.
