1. Confirm cabinet pull type/spec, as SOW states “match existing spec”, but no current cabinet pulls exist. Amerock Hardware cabinet pulls are made in the USA. This statement has been removed from the SOW.
2. Please confirm whether you desire both upper & lower cabinets to be replaced.
Cannot guarantee a match between the two & mention during site visit was that the uppers were not being replaced. Refer to the SOW which states” Remove and replace all cabinets with commercial grade cabinets with soft close hinges and soft close drawer glides. Replace the current LF of cabinets with 8LF of cabinets. Photos of a representative cabinet type in other areas on DSCR are shown at the end of this document. Provide color, finish samples for selection. Provide the same amount of draws and doors as existing.
Provide 6’ of additional base cabinets and countertop (match countertop no backsplash) on the wall where the microwaves are currently located”.
3. Regarding the north wall microwave base cabinet: Please confirm spec. Is it desired for the new cabinet to have a matching cabinet/countertop? See question 2
4. If the cabinets you desire are 8’, this may exposed/overlap the refrigerator receptacle. Can you please add an amended provision for relocating the receptacle over 12” O/C? SOW updated to include relocating current outlet.
5. Please confirm hours available to in facility. Refer to the SOW which states - Normal hours for contractor work on DSCR can range from 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday excluding holidays or base closures. Each project may have different work hours. The contractor shall request what hours they would like to work from the PM for approval.
6. Please confirm if a temporary dust wall is needed during remodel. Refer to the SOW which states - Hang plastic to cover the opening to the breakroom.
7. Please provide a specification to the new vents and diffusers. Plastic? Metal? Refer to the SOW which states - Replace ceiling vents and diffusers, match existing, white.
8. On page 46-47 of the solicitation, photos of cabinets that are not of the proposed area of work are included. Is this a spec you desire? If so, these are custom cabinets & will have to be built to match by our in-house millwork shop. The SOW references the photos on pages 46-47 as “representative cabinet type” desired by the customer. They don’t have to match the photos exactly.
9. Scope of work states “Raise the outlets on the north wall so they are above the base cabinet”. Please confirm that this is in reference to the west-wall base cabinets, or if this is in addition to another base cabinet elsewhere. The North wall is the wall where the credenza type cabinet is currently located. There are two outlets approximately 12” AFF behind this credenza. These are the two that need to be raised.
10. Please confirm parking/storage arrangements for the duration of the project. Are we utilizing a specific number of parking spaces, west of the parking lot buildings, for
(1) trailer, two vans & a supervisor’s truck, or will parking be elsewhere? Parking, dumpster etc. will be in the same location shown on page 45. The exact spots will be determined at the precon.
11. Please confirm what wax is utilized by the janitorial contractor, as the scope of work states to use the same. ZEP High Traffic Floor Polish, 4-step system, or equal.
