About this file
This document is an amendment to a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for recurring shredding services at Robins Air Force Base (AFB). The amendment provides responses to vendor questions regarding bin delivery timelines and the availability of historical weight and volume data.
The RFQ solicits a Firm Fixed-Price Requirements Contract for paper and media shredding services, including the provision of lockable containers to be placed at 22 facilities on Robins AFB and 1 off-site facility. The contract has a 12-month base period and two 12-month option periods. Quotes are due by August 26, 2024 at 12:00 PM EST, and the contract start date is September 11, 2024. The government will award to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror that meets the Statement of Work requirements. The contracting office is the DLA Contracting Services Office - Richmond.

WR AFB Shredding
Amendment 0002 – Dated 8/2/2024
The purpose of this amendment is to answer vendors’ questions. Please see questions with responses below:
1) What would be the bin delivery date after it has been awarded to the vendor?
Response: The best answer I can give for that is we would need the bins delivered as soon as possible. There would need to be multiple bins delivered because we have a bin located at every building our people operate in. Please read the Statement of Work, it details how many bins, the kind of bins and the service date of the bins. As stated on page 3 of the solicitation, the start date is 11 September 2024.
2) Requesting information regarding the previous weight load and volume for our shredding services. Specifically, would like to know the total monthly and yearly weight load and volume that has been handled. Could you please provide me with these details at your earliest convenience?
Response: We don’t know the total monthly and yearly weight load and volume. The current contract does not require us to give that information. Also, we would not be able to give that because the bins are emptied once a month, and not all areas are emptied every month. Some buildings may go a month or two before it needs to be emptied, and some may need to be emptied every month. Currently, the shred truck is scheduled to come out every third Thursday of the month. I hope this helps but I really don’t know a weight and volume load.
