WR AFB Shredding

Amendment 0001 – Dated 8/1/2024

The purpose of this amendment is to answer vendors’ questions. Please see questions with responses below:

1) Are 95 Gallons on wheels, with a lock and shredding of paper?

Response: All the bins that we have right now are provided by the contractor, they are 95 gallons, on wheels, with lock provided, and we only use them for documents that need to be shredded. Our security officer has made it clear that they are to be used for unclassified documents only.

2) We have separate containers/boxes for media shredding. Is that okay? This is because we like to keep paper and media particles separate from paper for recycling/discarding.

Response: We have never used separate containers/boxes for media because we don’t have any that gets shredded. If they are talking about flash drives of disk, government employees have gone away from using that type of media storage. Everything that goes in the bins is paper.

3) Is it required to have 4 keys per bin?

Response: It depends if the bins will have different locks for them. The current bins that are in place now all have one key that fits the locks on all the bins. Since I am the POC, I control the keys to the bins, so it would be needed to have at least 2 spare keys to the lock. But the bins should have the same lock that one key can fit all.

4) Would you like a quote for all three years together? Or a separate quote for year 1, year 2, and year 3?

Response: The requirement is for a BASE + TWO (2) OPTION YEARS. Your quote should be for each year separately.
