a. SUBMITTALS:
(1) Product Data: Submit manufacturer's product data, including physical properties, chemical resistance, surface preparation and application instructions.
(2) Submit list of five projects similar in nature, which have been installed by applicator during the last five years, identified with project name, location, name of owner's representative, their phone number and date.
(3) Submit manufacturer's standard warranty and applicator's warranty.
b. QUALITY ASSURANCE:
(1) APPLICATOR QUALIFICATIONS:

d. PRODUCTS
a. MATERIALS:
(1) TOPCOAT: 8 mils Seal Coating for Epoxy Resurfacer Products. Seal coating is a two-component epoxy material and shall have the following physical performance properties:
(a) Volatile Organic Compound (VOC), ASTM D3960
0 lb/gal
(b) Tensile Strength, ASTM D2370 8,000 psi
(c) Percent Elongation, ASTM D2370
5%
3. EXECUTION
a. EXAMINATION
(1) Examine concrete surface to receive floor coating system. Notify the Contracting
Officer if surface is not acceptable. Do not begin surface preparation or application until unacceptable conditions have been corrected and are approved by the Contracting Officer.
(2) Allow concrete substrate to cure a minimum of 30 days.
(3) CHECK THE TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY: Floor temperature and materials should be between 75°F and 90°F. Humidity must be less than 80%. DO NOT coat unless floor temperature is more than five degrees over the dew point.
(4) CHECK FOR MOISTURE: Concrete must be dry before application of this floor coating material. Concrete moisture testing must occur. Calcium chloride testing or in-situ relative humidity testing is recommended. Readings must be below 3 pounds per 1,000 square feet over a 24-hour period on the calcium chloride test or below 75% relative internal concrete humidity. Test methods can be purchased at www.astm.org, see ASTM F1869 or F2170, respectively or follow instructions from the suppliers of these tests.
SECTION 09 99 66 PAGE 3 OF 3

c. APPLICATION: Apply floor coating system in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
(1) Assemble equipment.
(2) Seal Coat: 8 mils – Seal coat for ¼” thick epoxy resurfacer material.
(a) Mix components.
(b) Mix only enough material which can be applied within 25 minutes.
(c) Apply seal coat material at the rate of 200 ft2/gal.
(d) DELETED SECOND COAT REQUIREMENTS
(e) Allow coating to cure 24 hours at 75°F and 50% relative humidity.
d. PROTECTION: Close job site to traffic for a period of 24 hours after coating application.
