About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document (Round 2) for solicitation SP330026Q0092, addressing contractor inquiries regarding pre-employment medical physicals for the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution at Robins Air Force Base.

The document clarifies four key procurement considerations. First, no specific immunizations have been identified as required for work at Robins AFB facilities at this time; however, if immunizations become necessary post-award, the contractor may submit a request for equitable adjustment to cover associated costs. Second, the government declined to establish a separate Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) for immunizations, requiring them to be priced within the existing contract structure. Third, respiratory assessments are not anticipated based on historical requirements and current standards, and similarly will not receive a separate CLIN; any unexpected respiratory assessment costs post-award would likewise require an equitable adjustment request. Fourth, the vision depth perception test required in the primary care office setting (referenced as Form C in the RFP) is clarified as a basic routine eye exam. These responses indicate that the government anticipates standard pre-employment medical examination services without specialized or variable-cost testing components.

Question and Answers:

1. Will the government please provide a list of potential required immunizations?

· At this time, we have not identified any specific required immunizations for work at Robins AFB facilities. After award, and if required, a request for equitable adjustment would be submitted by the contractor in order to cover the costs.

2. Because these immunizations are not part of the standard exam, will the government consider pricing them individually under a separate CLIN?

· No. The government will not consider pricing these under a separate CLIN.

3. Because it is unknown how many applicants will require a Respiratory Assessment, will the government consider pricing them under a separate CLIN?

· Based on history and current requirements, a respiratory exam has never been required. Therefore, a separate CLIN will not be provided. After award, and if required, a request for equitable adjustment would be submitted by the contractor in order to cover the costs.

4. Please clarify what test is required in the primary care office setting for vision depth perception (form C in the RFP).

· Basic routine eye exam will suffice.
