INTRODUCTION / BACKGROUND
The Clinton Indian Health Center was originally constructed in March, 2007. This project includes removing the original obsolete Vision Link Premier® Wireless Nurse Call System nurse call system, and replacing it with a new wired and auxiliary IP-based wireless nurse call system. Refer to Drawing A-1 for Existing Conditions. The health center will be fully operational during the demolition and replacement of this system. Contractor will need to coordinate work with local Facility Manager as a non-working system will include activing NFPA 101 Life Safety measures when system is not functioning.
OBJECTIVE
Provide labor, materials, equipment, and other services as necessary to install a new wired and auxiliary IP-based wireless nurse call system and remove the old system components throughout health center building at the Clinton Indian Health Center, 10321 N. 2274 Rd, Clinton, OK, 73601.
This project will exceed the requirements of FGI Guidelines for Design and Construction and The Joint Commission Requirements. This project will require emergency call stations for restrooms designated for public use, such as those found in waiting and reception areas.
SCOPE OF WORK
The health center will remain operational during the course of this project. Contractor shall coordinate work with the Facility Manager on accessibility of areas and rooms as needed.
Due to the fact that patients are scheduled well in advance for health care services, room closures will require coordination on a daily basis with Facility Manager to minimize interruption of delivery of healthcare services.
This project will consist of the following:
1. Install new conduit distribution system from the power supply/controller units to the dome lights outside each room served by the system as shown on plans. Refer to Drawing A-2 for Existing and New Locations.
2. Pull new cable to dome lights outside each room served by the system.
3. As rooms are turned over to the Contractor, interface the existing conduit within each room to replace the cable and devices within that room while ensuring the existing Nurse Call system that is still being used in rooms yet not converted remain in operation.
4. Replace existing devices, controllers, master stations, power supplies, etc. and add new devices as identified on the plans to meet Code and other Owner requirements based on current usage of spaces.
5. Remove existing cabling, conduit, and other appurtenances when new system is fully functional.
6. The phasing of this project will be critical, as the Clinton Indian Health Center is required to provide at least 7-days of notice to patients and staff for limitations on scheduled care. Dates and durations of work will be established by the contractor.
The health center currently has ten (1) Pull-Cord Station and Dome Lights in the following Restrooms:
1. Primary Care Clinic R/R
2. Laboratory R/R
3. Physical Therapy (PT) R/R
4. Radiology R/R

7. Women's Public R/R (Regular Stall)
8. Men's Public R/R (ADA Toilet Stall)
9. Dental Public R/R
