About this file
This document contains guidance for employees at the Ann Arbor VA Healthcare System regarding health screening procedures during the COVID-19 pandemic. If an employee screens positive at the entry screening location, they are instructed to put on a mask and notify the screener of their name, supervisor, and contact number. On weekdays between 6:30am-6:00pm, the employee should move away from others and contact Employee Health for guidance. Between 6:30am-8:00pm, Employee Health can be reached at (734) 845-5096. If Employee Health sends the employee home, their supervisor must be notified. For evenings/weekends or non-urgent issues after hours, the employee should leave a voicemail at that number and notify their supervisor they are going home. For urgent issues after hours, the employee should seek care at the VA emergency department. University of Michigan trainees should also notify UM Employee Health. Employees experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should not go to Employee Health and instead call the numbers for guidance.
