About this file

This Statement of Objectives describes a non-personal services contract for vegetation clearing and wood management at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The project involves clearing the entire 7-mile perimeter fence line, removing vegetation within 10 feet on both sides down to 3 inches and within 20 feet overhead, and grinding/chipping a brush pile located east of Sherman Army Airfield (SAAF). Specific requirements include removing vegetation growing on fence components and reducing wood chips to 2" x 2" x 4" with 95% accuracy, with any oversized wood to be hauled off and disposed of by the contractor.

The primary objectives are to create and maintain a clear buffer zone along the perimeter fence and eliminate the wood and brush pile while preparing a designated area for future tree and brush disposal. The Department of Public Works (DPW) is the end user, with key stakeholders including Kyle Fratzel from DPW Roads & Grounds and Jason C. Land as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). The contractor will be responsible for completing all tasks without direct government supervision, with a default acceptance period of 10 business days for deliverables.
