Amendment 0001: SITE VISIT DATE changed to

August 28th 2026 at 0900 CT.

This project will address the cyclic paving, milling, and overlay necessary to maintain a suitable paving surface at the Jackson Str eet Parking Area (which primarily serves users of the Blackland Prairie National Scenic

Trail). The parking area is not attached to the

Parkway¿s Mainline Road and often gets left out of FHWA paving projects. The 1610 square yard parking lot is in fair condition b ut has a multitude of large cracks showing in the surface. Work will include milling 1.5", tack coat applied, and HMA Surface 1.5" t hick.

The current edges of pavement have a 3-4" drop off so shoulder material and turf establishment will be required. Additionally, timber curbing will be added to replace the existing deteriorated timber curbing.
