About this file
This is a Site Tour FAQ document for the Georgia Building Authority (GBA) related to Proposal #900-22-945 for a Personal Panic Button System. The GBA, which serves as the landlord for state government buildings on Capitol Hill, the #2 Peachtree Street Building, and the Georgia Governor's Mansion, is requesting proposals for personal panic button systems for use by members of the Georgia General Assembly and state employees. The project encompasses four primary locations: the Georgia Legislative Office Building (175,000 sq. ft.), the Georgia State Capitol (500,000 sq. ft.), the South Deck Parking Garage (1,100 parking spaces), and 2 Capitol Square (25,000 sq. ft.), along with connecting outdoor spaces. A mandatory site tour and question-and-answer session for interested bidders was scheduled for Monday, September 13, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the GBA building located at 270 Washington Street, Atlanta, Georgia 30334, with a rain date of Tuesday, September 14, 2021. The tour included a brief introduction from GBA IT Project Leaders and Procurement staff, an overview of the project, and a guided walking tour of the Capitol Hill areas where the panic button systems would be implemented, specifically the South Deck, OPB, CLOB, and State Capitol, with question-and-answer opportunities at the end of each building tour.
The RFP seeks to identify one firm for the installation of a personal panic button alert system utilizing software, hardware, and wireless technology to provide an innovative crisis management platform that accelerates critical reaction times during emergencies at the Capitol Hill Complex. Bidders were required to secure their own parking at the public parking deck directly across from the GBA building. Questions regarding the site tour were directed to the Issuing Officer, Sean Treadaway, at sean.treadaway@gba.ga.gov. No pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent information, funding sources, or contract term details are provided in this site tour FAQ document.
