About this file

This is a draft work order template issued by the City of Bridgeport, Connecticut for sidewalk repair and related construction services as part of the 2026 Sidewalk Bid program. The work order establishes the framework for contracted sidewalk repair services and references a master agreement between the City of Bridgeport and a contractor. The scope of services encompasses multiple construction-related line items including excavation and disposal, concrete sidewalk and driveway apron installation, brick sidewalk installation, stamped concrete work, granite curb installation and reset, permanent pavement repair, tree gates and tree pits, grass strips, concrete curbs, trash receptacles, sidewalk benches, conduit installation, street lighting components, bollards, catch basin relocation, truncated domes, and concrete panel edge grinding. The bidding process requires electronic submissions through the City's OpenGov Procurement Portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/bridgeportct, with a submission deadline of 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Questions must be submitted in writing by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, with all answers published as addenda on the procurement website.

Compensation for contracted work is structured on a unit price basis with a lump sum not-to-exceed amount, with all costs including reimbursable expenses. The work order requires contractors to submit itemized unit price schedules for project costs, beginning and ending project photographs, and a final itemized unit price schedule. The template incorporates references to insurance requirements outlined in Article 6 of the master agreement and includes provisions for bond requirements as specified in individual work orders. Contractors are required to create free accounts on the OpenGov Procurement platform to submit bids, and all participants must regularly monitor the procurement website for any issued addenda or modifications to bid requirements.
