This document is an Emergency Purchase Statement from the State of Illinois Chief Procurement Office. It outlines an emergency contract between the Illinois Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) and SEPS, Inc. for the engineering, furnishing, and installation of new uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, generators, and related equipment, as well as power installation, maintenance, emergency maintenance, and preventative maintenance services at statewide locations. The contract term is expected to run from December 14, 2021 to March 13, 2022, with an estimated total expenditure of $102,000. SEPS, Inc. was selected due to their existing contract with DoIT/ICN and their familiarity with the state's sites and equipment.
The funding source for this emergency contract is unspecified, but it is noted that the contract is necessary to prevent or minimize serious disruption in critical state services that affect health, safety, or collection of substantial state revenues. This vendor has the required security clearance, certifications, and licenses to perform the highly skilled work needed under this contract.
