Tennis Court Resurfacing Project Scope of Work
This Scope of Work document outlines a tennis court resurfacing project for the City of California at two locations: Hopkins and Hoover court facilities. The project encompasses comprehensive resurfacing and renovation of tennis courts, involving site preparation, traffic control, sediment and erosion management, asphalt overlay installation, pathway reconstruction, crack repair and sealing, installation of protective coatings and striping, equipment installation, and associated infrastructure repairs. At the Hopkins location, the work includes a 2-inch thick asphalt overlay for three courts with a 4-foot feathered edge transition, removal and replacement of two asphalt pathways (6.5 feet by 130 feet and 6 feet by 130 feet respectively), installation of approximately 200 linear feet of Polypave Court Shield crack protection, complete tennis court color acrylic coatings and striping for three courts, installation of new tennis net posts with ground sockets and nets, and placement of two new benches. At the Hoover location, the scope includes new acrylic resurfacing for two tennis courts with approximately 150 linear feet of crack fabric installation, replacement of a 4-foot by 2-foot asphalt apron, and installation of color acrylic coatings and striping for the two courts.
The contractor must be licensed and is responsible for managing all site-specific conditions including tree protection, irrigation system repairs, chain link fencing repairs and adjustment, and potential Petromat removal and disposal if encountered. The scope includes dewatering and drainage management, record keeping of submittals and performance testing, and submission of operation and maintenance manuals. All work requires protection of existing park facilities, utilities, and amenities throughout the project duration.
