Insurance Requirements Summary
This is an Insurance Requirements document for a consulting contract with the City of Meriden's Parks & Recreation Department related to the Hubbard Park Pool Filtration System refurbishment project in Meriden, Connecticut. The consultant must procure and maintain comprehensive insurance coverage throughout the contract term, including Commercial General Liability Coverage with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, written on an occurrence basis with required coverage for premises/operations, products/completed operations, underground/explosion/collapse hazards, contractual liability, independent contractors, and abuse/molestation liability. Additionally, the consultant must maintain Business Automobile Liability Coverage with $1,000,000 combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage, covering non-owned automobiles, all owned vehicles, and any scheduled automobiles. The consultant is also required to procure State of Connecticut Statutory Workers' Compensation and Employer's Liability Coverage with limits of $500,000 per accident, $500,000 disease policy limit, and $500,000 per employee disease to indemnify all employees against occupational injury and disease.
Professional Liability, Malpractice, or Errors and Omission Coverage must also be maintained with single limits of $2,000,000 per claim and $2,000,000 aggregate per policy period, protecting against wrongful acts and liability arising from professional services. This coverage may be written on either an occurrence form or claims-made basis. All insurance requirements must remain in force for the life of the contract. These requirements ensure that the City of Meriden is protected against potential liabilities arising from the consultant's work on the pool filtration system project, with the city to be named as an additional insured on relevant policies.
