About this file
This is a Schedule of Work document for RFP No. 260000002057 issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) for winter maintenance truck build-up components. The contract is an optional use, multi-year agreement that allows other states, governmental subdivisions, and authorized entities to purchase components. The contractor must supply winter maintenance truck build-up components according to Attachment 1 specifications, with product deviations requiring descriptive literature and technical data for state evaluation. All components require a one-year warranty including parts and labor starting from the in-service date, with warranty service provided by factory-trained technicians at a Michigan dealership. The contractor must deliver units within 120 calendar days from receipt of order, Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 2:30 PM to Fleet Operations Garage in Lansing, Michigan. Additional requirements include providing two sets of operating and maintenance manuals with each unit, submitting sales record reports upon request, attending annual in-person specifications meetings, and appointing a dedicated Contractor Program Manager available during business hours to respond to inquiries within one business day.
Pricing is firm for 365-day periods with adjustments possible only when supported by documented evidence of actual cost changes, subject to mutual negotiation and a 30-day review period. The state will make payment by electronic funds transfer based on delivery order authorizations. The contractor must comply with ADA accessibility standards for all digital deliverables, environmental product standards including energy efficiency and bio-based certifications, and hazardous material disclosure requirements under federal regulations. If subcontractors performing more than 20 percent of deliverables are utilized, at least 20 percent of subcontracted work must be awarded to Michigan-based Geographically Disadvantaged Business Enterprises. The contractor must implement security measures, explain delivery programs and transportation methods, optimize packaging for lowest freight rates using standard palletized shipments, and maintain data retention and retrieval capabilities throughout the contract term. No specific bid due date, award date, or contract term length is identified in this document.
