About this file
This document appears to be a question and answer session related to a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a microfilm reader. The agency is looking to replace an older Kodak Image Link Retrieval Workstation 1000 that was purchased in 1997. The agency is open to receiving quotes for the Kodak i4250 scanner and associated warranty options, but will not accept quotes for just the scanner without the warranty pricing. The agency is seeking a microfilm reader only and not a microfilm scanner/reader.
Vendors must submit pricing for both a three-year and five-year warranty option for the Kodak i4250 scanner. If the warranty pricing is not included, the quote will be considered non-responsive. The agency has provided requirements and specifications for the microfilm reader in the attached RFQ document.

Text version
Q: Can you specify what make and model you are trying to acquire for the Microfilm Reader?
A: The agency is currently replacing a Kodak Image Link Retrieval Workstation 1000 which was purchased 1997. We are not aware of the newest technology that is available but have specifications and requirements listed in the attached RFQ document that will meet the agency’s need.
Q: Are we allowed to just bid on the Kodak i4250 scanner and service options part?
A: Yes, the agency will allow vendors to bid on the scanner and warranty options only. If submitting a quote for the Kodak i4250 scanner, vendors must also submit a quoted price for the three-year and five-year warranty for the scanner as well. If prices are not submitted for both of the warranty options, the quote will be considered non-responsive.
Q: Just to clarify, you are looking only for a microfilm reader and not a microfilm scanner/reader?
A: Yes, we are looking for only a microfilm reader.
