About this file

This PowerPoint presentation provides a comprehensive overview of the Security Assistance Training Management Organization (SATMO) Ground Technical Assistance Field Team (TAFT) mission and operational concept. The document details SATMO's core mission of executing non-institutional Security Assistance training worldwide in support of Department of Defense and Department of State Security Cooperation initiatives, with the primary purpose of building partner nation security sector capabilities and advancing U.S. national security objectives.

The presentation outlines the TAFT operational model, which involves deploying teams to partner nations to provide training, technical advice, and mentorship across various military domains. A key example highlighted is a 9-person Air Defense Artillery (ADA) TAFT, designed to train counterparts to assume full operational control of defense systems. The timeline indicates a contract award anticipated in 2026, with initial deployments and equipment delivery planned for the same year. The teams will focus on train-advise-assist-support activities, including developing training programs, mission essential task lists, standard operating procedures, and maintenance programs, while strictly adhering to stipulations in Letters of Request and Letters of Offer and Acceptance.
