American Sign Language Interpretation Services SAQMMA17R0202

American Sign Language Interpretation Services SAQMMA17R0202

U. S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE

FOLLOW UP RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS

THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES ARE FOLLOWING UP TO THE PREVISOUSLY POSTED RESPONSES.

Also, the responses to questions 34 & 35 seem to conflict with the response to question # 67. Can the Government clarify if there is an intent for the vendor to provide Video Remote Interpreting?

RESPONSE: # 67 - At this time the Government does not have an immediate need for Video Remote Interpreting but there may be a need in the future.

Will the Department of State remove requirements for a specific number of employees (staff) to be considered technically acceptable to do this work?

RESPONSE: No.

Question # 56 was only partially answered. The unanswered portion is: Page 17 of the RFP, Standard. The expectation is no more than one (1) customer complaint per month. Without knowing the volume of services, it is difficult to know if this expectation is reasonable. If the State Department has hundreds of hours of services per month, this may be unrealistic, since even the best interpreter is not always the best fit for any given consumer. Will the Government consider revising this to state, “no more than one (1) valid complaint on average per month.”?

RESPONSE: No.
