About this file
This document is a Salient Characteristics specification for Smart Lockers dated 11 August 2025. The specification details requirements for 18-22 outdoor lockers constructed with 18-gauge double-reinforced cold-rolled steel, designed to operate in extreme environmental conditions ranging from -13°F to +122°F with up to 100% non-condensing humidity. The lockers must be wind and salt resistant (category 3 cyclone resistant) and feature advanced technological components including an industrial-grade touchscreen, camera, keypad, barcode scanner, and speakers. Control towers are temperature-controlled and optimized for functionality in bright sun, heat, and cold conditions.
The lockers are specifically designed to store two types of bags: a general-purpose mobility bag (A-bag: 24" x 20" x 20") and chemical warfare bags (C-bag: 24" x 15" x 15"). They must be configured to fit within a designated outdoor space measuring W362" x H80" x D24" and accommodate both bag types simultaneously. Additional features include standard awnings with built-in lights, smart package sensors on each door for detecting items, and a camera and touchscreen that can operate effectively in harsh outdoor environments.

Text version
The lockers will have, 18-gauge double-reinforced cold-rolled steel construction, Operational conditions: temperature -13°to +122°F -humidity up to 100%non-condensing, Rain, salt, and wind (category 3 cyclone) resistant, Control towers feature an industrial-grade touchscreen, a camera for photo capture, a keypad, a scanner supporting 1D and 2D barcode reading, and speakers, Camera and touchscreen are optimized for full functionality in bright sun, heat and cold conditions, Kiosk and screen are temperature controlled (air conditioning and heat) for operation in extreme conditions, Standard awnings provide users additional protection from outdoor elements and come with built-in lights, Each door features smart package sensors to detect packages and other items.
The total number of lockers should be between 18 and 22, depending on the dimensions specified by the vendor, which must fit within a space of approximately W362" x H80" x D24" in the designated outdoor area. This configuration is crucial for storing the general-purpose mobility bag (A bag) and the chemical warfare bags (C bags) that will be accessible in the lockers after hours. The dimensions of the individual bags are as follows: A-bag: 24" x 20" x 20"
- C-bag: 24" x 15" x 15". Each locker must be sized to accommodate both bags simultaneously.
