About this file

This document is a comprehensive set of bid documents and specifications for the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery Sylvan Springs Development Phase 1 project. The solicitation, valued at an unspecified amount, is a set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns and seeks to expand the existing national cemetery by 33.6 acres to increase burial capacity for veterans in the St. Louis area. The project aims to provide an additional 15-year inventory of double-depth, pre-placed crypts and extend burial options until Fiscal Year 2045, while also making infrastructure improvements to the existing cemetery grounds.

The bid documents include detailed technical specifications covering multiple construction divisions, such as site work, concrete, masonry, metals, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and commissioning requirements. Key components include installing precast concrete burial crypts, columbarium units, a maintenance building, gravesite locator building, utility extensions, roadway improvements, landscaping, and associated site work. The project will involve comprehensive commissioning processes, environmental controls, waste management, and sustainable construction practices. The solicitation is managed by the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Construction and Facilities Management, with Joshua Gibson serving as the Contract Specialist.
