About this file
This is a Bid Tabulation document from the State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for Emergency Service Patrol services on Route 33 for North/South locations on an as-needed basis. The invitation to bid (ITB Number DOT-ITB-26-3012-CS) solicited qualified service providers to deliver incident management and traffic control operations across designated service areas. Bids were opened on March 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with the bid posting period extending from March 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. through March 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. The procurement received three competitive bids from Eastern Diesel Auto Wrecker Service, Mallory Towing & Recovery, Inc., and White's Wrecker Service, LLC, with the contract awarded to the lowest bidder.
Eastern Diesel Auto Wrecker Service submitted the lowest bid price of $150.00 and received the intended award, as indicated on the bid tabulation. The award determination was made using an in-state preference in accordance with Florida Statutes Section 287.084. The bid tabulation notes that the intended award does not constitute a binding contract until the Department issues a Purchase Order or written acceptance. The Department reserves the right to reject the award if irregularities are discovered in the vendor's bid, if required bonds and insurance are not submitted, or if the vendor fails to comply with bid requirements, in which case the Department may award to the second-lowest bidder, reject all bids, or take alternative action in its best interest. The document was evaluated by Chad Williams and witnessed by Karen Woodham, with Chrissy Sims listed as the opening official.
