About this file
This document is an attachment to a state and local government contract opportunity. It outlines the employment requirements for public works projects in Illinois. Specifically, it states that for any public works project or hazardous waste clean-up and disposal project in Illinois that is funded in whole or in part by state funds, at least 90% of the laborers employed must be Illinois residents. Contractors may request an exception to this requirement if they can demonstrate that Illinois laborers are unavailable or incapable of performing the work. The document also requires contractors to comply with prevailing wage requirements for public works projects, including checking the Illinois Department of Labor's website for the most current prevailing wage rates and ensuring their employees and subcontractors are paid the required prevailing wages.
The document does not provide any details about the specific contract opportunity, such as the products or services requested, project overview, quantities, response due dates, award information, or contract term.
