About this file
This is a transit guide print-ready exhibit for the City of Ocala's SunTran public transit system, effective April 2025. The document serves as the final deliverable specification for RFQ# SUN/261080, which solicits printing services for 10,000 copies of the transit guide. The City of Ocala requires the printed guides to be delivered within one month following receipt and approval of the final version. The transit guide itself contains comprehensive information for SunTran riders, including fare structures, route maps and schedules for seven color-coded bus routes (Green, Blue, Purple, Orange, Red, Yellow A, and Yellow B, plus Silver Express), operating hours, passenger conduct rules, accessibility information, and employment opportunities.
The pricing structure requires bidders to submit unit price proposals, with the City paying only for actual units delivered. Award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting all stated requirements. The complete solicitation package includes a Scope of Work (Exhibit A), this print-ready transit guide (Exhibit B), Federal Grant Clauses (Exhibit C), a Price Proposal form (Exhibit D), and a DBE Utilization Form (Exhibit E). The guide displays current operational details including fare categories for regular riders, youth/students, seniors, disabled passengers, and veterans, with one-way fares ranging from free for children five and under to $1.50 for regular riders, as well as 30-day pass options. Service information indicates no Sunday or holiday service, with specific holiday closures listed, and the guide includes maps showing major service destinations such as shopping centers, government offices, healthcare facilities, and transfer stations throughout Marion County.

City of Ocala, Florida Effective April 2025
Transit Guide
Welcome to SunTran
WELCOME ABOARD!
Riding a SunTran bus is easy. This SunTran Transit Guide provides you all the information you need to get started.
HERE’S HOW TO RIDE:
Once you have your trip planned, head to your nearest bus stop location. If you have any questions or problems locating the closest bus stop, you can download our app MyStop (Scan the QR code printed on this guide) to your mobile device for bus locations, times, and stops or contact the SunTran office at 352-401-6999. Arrive about five minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive, and please stand or sit in a safe location. If you are near an intersection, the bus always loads past an intersection. Do not attempt to board the bus while it is stopped at an intersection.
Have your fare ready, step on, pay your fare, and relax in the temperature-controlled comfort of a SunTran bus. Feel free to check with your bus operator when you get on if you are unsure about your route or any connections. When your stop is approaching, press the signal strip to let the operator know that this is where you want to get off. After deboarding, please allow the bus to pull away before crossing the street. Always use the pedestrian crossings and follow all traffic safety rules. Do not attempt to cross the pedestrian crosswalk in front of the bus. Now, sit back and enjoy the ride.
Our goal is to provide you with friendly and efficient service.
Thank you for riding with SunTran!
