About this file

Addendum No. 2 for RFP-25-034-KY is issued by the City of Altamonte Springs, Florida, regarding a Conference Room Audio-Visual System Installation project. The addendum introduces a new maintenance bond requirement, stipulating that upon project completion and before final payment, the contractor must provide a maintenance bond equal to 10% of the contract amount. This bond will guarantee the repair or replacement of any work defects that become apparent within two years after project completion. Contractors must obtain the bond through a surety bond agency acceptable to the City and provide the Surety Company's address and local agent contact information.

Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum by indicating it on the Proposal Bid Form or by signing and returning the addendum in a sealed envelope if they have already submitted their initial proposal. The document emphasizes that submitting a bid is considered an acknowledgment of the addendum, and the City will construe all bids as though the bidder has received and understood the additional requirements. The maintenance bond requirement is designed to ensure quality workmanship and provide the City with a mechanism for addressing potential issues that may arise after the project's completion.
