About this file
Summary
This is a Schedule A Statement of Work for Request for Quote (RFQ) No. 240000000026 issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) for the procurement of bi-directional enhanced delineation systems. The project aims to reduce wrong-way driver incidents on freeway ramps along northbound and southbound US-131 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, specifically between Ann Street and M-11 (28th Street). The contractor must provide 2,750 linear feet of reflector strips suitable for concrete barrier wall mounting and 1,775 linear feet of reflector strips suitable for steel guardrail mounting. All materials must be supplied in 12.5-foot-long units with retro-reflectorized white/red or yellow/red reflective sheeting mounted on successive half-cylindrical shapes at maximum 7-inch spacing, compliant with ASTM D4956 standards and MDOT specifications. The reflectors must feature bidirectional viewing capability and require mechanical fastening only; adhesive attachment is prohibited. MDOT prefers delivery of the entire order within 8 weeks to the Grand Region Maintenance & Materials Testing Facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is a federally funded project for products only, with installation to be performed by MDOT personnel.
The RFQ requires contractors to provide firm pricing on Schedule B and to respond with detailed information regarding warranties, quality assurance programs, delivery programs, recall procedures, and any special incentives or services offered. Contractors must establish internal controls approved by MDOT to verify orders and ensure only authorized individuals place orders. Acceptance of materials will be determined through visual inspection. All invoices must include date, purchase order number, quantity, description, unit price, shipping costs, vendor invoice number, and total price, and must be submitted to the program manager with copies to the designated contact. Payment will be made exclusively through Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) as required by Michigan law, with contractors responsible for maintaining current banking information in the State Contractor website.
