GENERAL ITEMS
1. Question #1: Is only the Return Air Ductwork to be pre-insulated or is a small section needed for the supply to stub into the building and back into the vestibule?
1.1. Only ductwork exterior to the building is pre-insulated. All ductwork in the penthouse will be enclosed in the penthouse.
2. Question #2: Will pipe and fittings in central shaft be installed and furnished by owner.
2.1. Per G-004, hatch pattern indicates areas of owner furnished and installed scope of work.
3. Question #3: Can you provide a copy of the attendance list from the meeting last Friday? (Pre-Proposal Meeting on 01/19/2024)
3.1. Yes. Attached.
4. Question #4: Can you provide the presentation document that was used if possible? (At the Pre- Proposal Meeting on 01/19/2024)
4.1. The presentation document used during the Pre-Proposal Meeting was the actual RFP document which can be accessed in Cybox/Box.
5. Question #5: A list of expected durations or rate of work for the work being completed by Ames lab, as discussed at the meeting, to use in creating a proposed schedule.
5.1. Ames Lab Construction Manager will provide a higher level of detail to the contractor at first pre-con meeting. For now, when preliminarily scheduling, assume that the Ames Laboratory scope of work will be on the critical path for 1.5 months. Most of the Ames Lab tasks should be laid out by the contractor ahead of time, so they do not affect the critical path.
6. Question #6: Will Ames Laboratory (owner) supply all the materials and installation for the chilled water and heating water piping in the shaft and leaving stub outs for the mechanical contractor to tie on to?
6.1. Yes. The contractor will install from where it exits the shaft. The contractor’s superintendent will have to assist the lab maintenance staff with the planning and layout of these activities. The contractor’s superintendent will have to direct the lab’s foreman/crew leader for proper coordination and tie-ins
7. Question #7: Is the core drilling through the floors by the contractor or by owner?
7.1. By contractor.
