About this file

This is Amendment No. 02 to RFP LBNF-372089-BF for the Long-Baseline Neutrino Facility/Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment Cryostat Temporary Ventilation project. The amendment, issued January 21, 2026, contains clarifications from a mandatory pre-proposal meeting and does not alter the proposal due date of February 9, 2026. The solicitation is being administered by Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC on behalf of the LBNF project, with Bridget Fugett serving as the LBNF Procurement Specialist.

The amendment provides answers to ten substantive questions regarding contractor requirements and project specifications. Key clarifications include: the contractor must provide the air handler; installation may proceed with test/run operations prior to Fermi Forward Discovery Group readiness, with subsequent shutdown until activation; professional engineering stamps are not required for designs; anchor point design recommendations are not required; no specific CFM airflow requirement exists; piping is not needed; water drain troughs are already in place; and personnel requirements allow flexibility regarding Environmental Safety and Health personnel serving as guides and SDSTA training sufficiency. These answers directly address scope and compliance expectations for potential bidders.
