About this file

This is a cost proposal form for Rhode Island College's (RIC) on-campus shuttle service procurement (RFP27006822). RIC is soliciting a vendor to provide shuttle bus services on its main campus in Providence, Rhode Island. The contract covers three years with an anticipated baseline of 3,000 shuttle-hours annually, where a shuttle-hour is defined as one hour that one shuttle is in passenger service. The scope of services includes all operational costs such as mobilization, training, vehicles, drivers, fuel, maintenance, dispatching, supervision, and reporting. Fees are calculated on actual in-service time rather than portal-to-portal from the place of garaging. The cost proposal form requires bidders to submit hourly rates for each of the three contract years, with total costs calculated by multiplying the proposed hourly rate by the 3,000-hour quantity for each year.

The pricing structure is based on an hourly rate that applies uniformly to both core shuttle services and any adjusted or additional services. All quantities of work shown are approximate and subject to increase or decrease, with the understanding that all work, whether increased or decreased, will be performed at the unit prices stated in the proposal. A provision for price renegotiation is included should the annual bus-hours change by 20 percent or more from the anticipated 3,000 hours, or if more than one shuttle is required during peak periods. Bidders must complete the cost proposal form with contractor information, certification that they have read all requirements, and the signature of an authorized representative.

The bidder understands that the quantities of work shown herein are approximate only and are subject to increase or decrease and agrees that all quantities of work, whether increased or decreased, are to be performed at the unit prices stated in the following estimate of quantities and schedule of prices for the work described, The hourly rate shall apply to both the core shuttle services described above and for any adjusted or additional services.
