About this file
This file is an attachment to an RFP issued by the City of Cooper City, Florida, containing a detailed breakdown of community development permit types and categories used for fee study analysis. The attachment provides a comprehensive classification system of permits and associated fees that fall under the City's community development jurisdiction, serving as a reference document for consultants responding to the City's request for proposals on the Community Development Fee Study component of the broader comprehensive fee and rate study initiative.
The permit types and categories detailed in this attachment are essential baseline data for consultants to understand the scope and complexity of the City's development-related fee structure. This reference document enables proposing firms to accurately assess the work required to evaluate existing permit fees, inspection fees, and other applicable development-related charges, and to develop recommendations aligned with cost-of-service principles and industry best practices. The attachment supports consultants in scoping their methodologies, data collection requirements, and analytical approaches for the Community Development Fee Study service area, one of five potential service areas available for proposal under the comprehensive fee studies RFP.
