About this file
This document is an Addendum 2 to Request for Proposal (RFP) PW-2025-04 issued by the Town of Pagosa Springs Public Works Department in Colorado on March 10, 2024. The addendum addresses a specific question regarding the TOPS 2025 Geothermal Hwy 160 Crossing Improvement Project, which involves the procurement of materials and equipment for a utility infrastructure improvement. The project requires an 8-inch insulated HDPE piping system, associated fittings, and a fusion machine for installation.
The addendum clarifies that the City will be responsible for pricing the materials and purchasing the fusion machine. The project's implementation will involve CDOT contractors performing excavation work, with TOPS staff handling the actual installation. This suggests a collaborative approach between municipal and state-level entities, with distinct roles for different stages of the project. The document provides direct guidance to potential bidders about the project's procurement and execution strategy, specifically addressing questions about material acquisition and installation responsibilities.

Re: Addendum 2 RFP PW-2025-04
Question: Will the City be purchasing this material and renting the fusion machine or will that all run through a contractor that will also perform the installation?
Answer: Price for materials and fusing machine purchase. CDOT contractors will be doing the dig and TOPS staff will be doing the installation.
Sincerely, Karl Johnson
Public Works Director
Town of Pagosa Springs
