24th ANS AFTAC Information Management System (AIMS)

AIMS is a Web-based, cross-platform data analysis environment, which is organized logically into four major components:

Reports Generation - Generate collaborative reports using model results from multiple disciplines User Applications - Access, analyze, and manage model results through Graphical User Interfaces, Web/Data Servers - Allow for Web/Data Servers to share data across systems and between users, Databases - Store information in Oracle databases

The system includes multiple user interface and several server components that allow data access and management over an Intranet environment comprised of UNIX-based servers and workstations and Microsoft Windows personal computers. AIMS contains sixteen Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCIs). See the accompanying CDRL A003.

~25 years old RHEL 8 VM, Solaris UNIX Servers Software (Java, JavaScript, Ada, Fortran 90, Fortran 77, C, Java Script, HTML, C Shell, Ruby, Groovy and SAS, Open Text Content Server (OTCS) 10.5.0 (Sevice Pack 1 Update 06), World Wind 2.0, GeoServer 2.9)

24th ANS Hydrological Execution Framework (HEF)

The Hydrologic Execution Framework (HEF) is a set of bash and python scriptsin a Virtual Machine (VM) integrating hydrologic tools that the US Army Corps of Engineers Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) Computational Hydraulics Laboratory (CHL) has produced. The tools are the Streamflow Prediction Tool (SPT) and AutoRoute although we use a much-simplified derivative AutoRoute product called the Flood Spreader Tool (FST). SPT itself is a data preprocessor/postprocessor and data manager python script which ultimately runs the Routing Application for Parallel computation of Discharge (RAPID) model to generate predicted stream flow rates based on twice-daily forecasts of water runoff from the European Center for Mid-Range Forecasts (ECMWF).

The output of RAPID ( https://github.com/c-h-david/rapid ) is then used in SPT to determine if the predicted flow rate exceeds that which was experienced over a 2-year, 10-year, or 20-year period and if so, and if it exceeds a reporting threshold as well (used to limit the number of reported points on a map), it generates respective warning points. HEF itself then takes the flow rates from SPT/RAPID and uses the FST to generate inundation maps for the ROI.

Software (Python 2 and 3, Bash, GRASS GIS, QGIS, RAPID, VirtualBox VM) https://github.com/c-h-david/rapid

24th ANS GeoWatch

GeoWATCH is a Python and Web based, soil moisture and soil strength mapping tool. It ingests weather model data from the Air Force Weather Wing, and produces multiple geospatial products including downscaled soil moisture and soil strength for historical, current, and forecast datetimes. Access is through a RESTful web interface and can be accessed through the GeoWATCH Webconsole, or any other OGC-compliant tool, such as common GIS tools like ArcMap or QGIS

3 years old Software (See GeoWatch System Overview.pdf)

RHEL 7.8

24th ANS ChemMacro Python

ChemMacro Python ChemPython is a modeling and simulation architecture originally developed for the government to provide support for estimating chemical process emissions. In an operational setting, a user provides model inputs that define the chemical process (ChemMacros files) and any desired modifications to the process such as scrubbing and batch scaling.

Software: Python 3

CDRL A003

24th ANS Inference Engine (DOME)

Inference Engine is a web application consists of a web-based, front-end user interface developed with the Vue.js JavaScript framework to generate an HTML5 and JavaScript web application and a back-end developed using Java JDK 8 software that provides RESTful web services and database access to the front-end. The RESTful services for this web application are packaged as Java Web Archives (or WARs) and are to be deployed to an Apache Tomcat 7 Application Server, or later.

Software (Vue.js JavaScript , Java, Oracle Database 11, Tomcat Web Server) See Inference Engine(Dome) Software Product Specification.pdf

24th ANS CHYDRUS 1D

CHYDRUS 1D is a Linux is a modeling environment for analysis of water flow and solute transport in variably saturated porous media.

Transcoded to compile with GNU Fortran and alternate Rosetta Software: GNU Fortran, Source code available on award

24th ANS Sensor Placement Optimization Tool (SPOT)

SPOT is a modeling and simulation architecture developed for the government to provide support for optimizing the design, deployment, and performance of sensing and collection systems. A user describes mission deployment solutions through SPOT’s “17 questions RFI” and the answers define scenario inputs to the SPOT models. Users access and execute SPOT via the MADCAP interface and/or MADHATTER scripts on the UNIX command line interface. SPOT CSCI consists of 10 major computer software components (CSCs) which are broken into 3 types: graphical user interface software, scripting tools software, and model software. See the SPOT_SPS PDF document.
