About this file

This PowerPoint presentation is a photo walkthrough document prepared by the Canaveral Port Authority (CPA) in support of RFP-25-13 for Life Safety Systems Inspection, Maintenance and Monitoring Services. The solicitation seeks a qualified Florida-licensed contractor to provide comprehensive inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and monitoring services for fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and intrusion detection systems across approximately 20 CPA facilities, including cruise terminals, parking garages, fire stations, and administrative buildings. The contractor must be licensed as a Fire Protection Systems Contractor II and an Alarm System Contractor I under Florida Statutes 633. Sealed proposals are due September 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM EDT, with proposal packets available for download beginning August 5, 2025, through the CPA VendorLink portal. The contract term spans a base period of three years commencing October 1, 2025, with two optional one-year renewal periods. The selection committee will meet September 9, 2025, to review and rank proposals, with final approval anticipated at the CPA Board of Commissioners meeting on September 24, 2025.

Evaluation will be conducted on a subjective basis with 100 total points allocated as follows: methodology (25 points), experience and qualifications (45 points), and pricing (30 points). The contractor must be capable of self-performing all work and responding to emergency trouble calls within 60 minutes, while also providing 24/7 fire and security alarm system monitoring via wireless equipment and conducting quarterly and annual inspections of fire sprinkler systems, electric fire pumps, and FM-200 dry chemical systems. Required insurance coverage includes $1 million/$2 million commercial general liability, $300,000 commercial automobile liability, state and federal workers' compensation, and $1 million umbrella liability. The RFP contains no explicit set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises. The CPA anticipates selecting only one contractor and reserves the right to reject all proposals or accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the Authority.
