About this file

This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the Metropolitan Library System of Oklahoma County for Category 2 E-Rate Network Equipment, specifically soliciting bids for network infrastructure components. The RFP #25-021-04 seeks to procure 4 layer 3 and 4 layer 2 POE+ switches, 4 direct attach cables, 1 SFP module, and 9 wireless access points, along with associated licensing. The solicitation was issued on February 10, 2025, with proposals due on March 11, 2025, at 12:00 PM. The project also includes licensing requests for existing equipment: 10 48-port Cisco 9300 switches, 10 24-port Cisco 9300 switches, and 5 48-port Cisco 9200 switches, with 5-year and 7-year licensing options.

The RFP emphasizes compatibility with the library's existing Cisco and Meraki networking infrastructure, with a preference for Oklahoma County-based vendors. Bidders must provide detailed pricing for hardware, 5-year and 7-year licensing, and warranty information. The library will evaluate bids based on compliance with specifications, pricing, vendor location, prior experience, service level agreements, equipment compatibility, and overall cost. The library reserves the right to award by item, group of items, or reject all bids. Funding for the project will come through the E-Rate program, with the library using the Service Provider Invoicing method for billing and payment of eligible items.
